What is Body Mocha About?

Body Mocha is a blog about finding solutions for natural healing, from everyday issues to chronic pain. Everyone has issues with their health at some time or another. Body Mocha is about finding the root cause of our health issues and ways to treat them, not just cover up the symptoms. Western medicine focuses on medicating, medicating, medicating. Too much medicine and chemicals result in building up harmful toxins in our body. And if that doesn’t work, the Western medicine solution for long term pain usually is surgery, some of it unnecessary.

What is My Background?

I have healed from chronic pain, injuries, and illnesses through alternative medicine and dietary changes. Learning from it and seeking answers has been an interesting journey. I have had doctors prescribe harsh medicines I didn’t want to take after physical therapy was over. Knowing that conventional, Western medicine was limited and sometimes more damaging than healing, led me to alternative medicine and holistic healing.  Everything I write about, I have tried myself. And if it’s on this blog, it has worked for me. Perhaps it can work for you, too.

There are answers out there and we will find them together. An important part of achieving good health is taking responsibility for your own health instead of relying on a doctor or other practitioner. Take responsibility for what you put into your body and how you treat it. Take back control of your life.

We will focus on Eastern remedies, Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, vitamins, bodywork, food therapy, etc. Feel free to comment. I don’t know everything and I welcome your feedback.
